Seven Easy Yoga to Help Reduce Belly Fat (Surakshya Yoga)

When fat accumulates in the belly, it is not only visible on the body but also causes various health problems. If unnecessary fat continues to increase, there is a risk of developing chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure.

So, how can one reduce this unnecessary belly fat? This is a common concern for many people.

There are many ways to reduce belly fat. Among them, a natural and effective method is yoga. Practicing yoga not only reduces belly fat but also keeps the digestive system healthy and improves the overall body shape.

If you regularly practice yoga poses like Naukasana (Boat Pose), Halasana (Plow Pose), Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand), Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose), Trikonasana (Triangle Pose), Virabhadrasana (Warrior Pose), and Chaturanga Dandasana (Four-Limbed Staff Pose), they help reduce belly fat effectively.

But how do these yoga poses work?

To reduce the unnecessary fat in the belly, the body must burn the accumulated calories, and these seven yoga poses play a key role in this process. For example, Virabhadrasana strengthens muscles and increases the metabolism rate.

When doing Naukasana, the muscles known as Rectus Abdominis and Transverse Abdominis in the abdomen become active, leading to higher calorie burning.

Setu Bandhasana and Sarvangasana stimulate the thyroid gland, which increases the production of T3 and T4 hormones, speeding up metabolism. This promotes faster fat burning.

Triangle Pose (Trikonasana) improves the digestive system and prevents fat from accumulating in the body. It also helps reduce side fat as it activates the oblique muscles of the abdomen.

Similarly, Halasana provides the same benefits as the other poses. It activates key abdominal muscles like the Rectus Abdominis, Transverse Abdominis, and Obliques.

When these muscles activate, not only does belly fat reduce, but the skin around the stomach becomes firm and glowing.

Halasana also improves internal blood circulation in the belly area, which enhances digestion. Good digestion reduces bloating and prevents unnecessary fat accumulation in the body.

Moreover, Halasana helps reduce stress. Stress raises cortisol hormone levels in the body, which contributes to belly fat accumulation. Practicing Halasana calms the nervous system, lowers cortisol levels, and helps reduce belly fat.

Therefore, doing these yoga exercises regularly on an empty stomach in the morning helps decrease body fat and tones the body.
